These pictures show the railway bridge (CGJ1/42) on Cliff Lane, as it passes under the West Coast Main Line between Acton Bridge Station and the Dutton Viaduct (just south of Weaver Junction).

In a very localised thunderstorm, some three inches of rain fell in about an hour on Friday afternoon, washing out the bridge embankment, disrupting rail services and flooding local roads to a depth of several feet.
