Around the Village: Acton Bridge Playing Field

Update 19. September 2010 : 

The village playing field is behind Chapel Lane and Orchard Avenue, on the edge of open country. Some new play equipment was recently installed : a multi-activity frame with climbing areas and a slide, and a swing. The frame and installation costs were generously paid for by Vale Royal Borough Council (now Cheshire West and Chester), while Acton Bridge Parish Council paid for the swing in the foreground. Much of the effort to enhance the playing field came from the late Mrs Sylvia Carding, and also from local children who campaigned successfully for new equipment.
