Fri 13 November 10am Enjoy this long autumn, and join our friendly Local Walk! Meet at the Parish Rooms car park. Please let Rosemary know if you are coming (852542) – we don’t want to leave anyone behind!

Fri 13 November 7.30pm ABCA Quiz evening. The popular fundraisers for our Parish Rooms return! Come to the Parish Rooms with a team of your friends (6 to a table!) or make your own gang on the night. Fun and good company! Bar, raffle. Tickets £4 from Peter Hurst (855106) or on the door.

Tues 17 November tbc Anyone interested in coming on a cinema trip to see the new “Lady in the Van”? Tell Jenny as soon as possible if you are interested! (851331)

Sat 26 November 12 – 3pm Pre-School Christmas Fair. Offer them any second-hand books or toys you are clearing prior to Xmas, or come for their mince pies, hot drinks and Christmas gifts, décor and toys! At the Parish Rooms.

Wed 2 & Thurs 3 Dec 11am – 3pm Christmas at White Friars. CFWI house, our County HQ, offers a refuge from the Christmas shopping, with light refreshments (£3) a warm welcome and a display of some of their archives in the decorated rooms.

Fri 4 – Sun 6 December 1-5.30pm (Fri)11am –5.30pm (Sat/Sun) Art Exhibition by members of Weaver Vale Art Society. In Parish Rooms. Refreshments. Admission £1. Open evening with mince pies on Friday

Mon 7 December 7.00pm Group Carol Service at St John’s Church Norley. Organised by our Weaver Valley Group, with carols, readings and tea and mince pies after!

Tues 8 December 6 for 6.30pm WI Christmas Party Don’t forget to RSVP with your menu choice and £10 (or your regrets) by the November 27 deadline. All WI members are invited as well as village seniors

Fri 11 December 7.30pm Distaff Singers’ annual Christmas Concert in aid of CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for Children. Festive music and readings. Tickets £8 (including mince pies and a glass of wine or soft drink in the interval) from Rosemary (852542) or Caroline (852406)

Mon 15 or Wed 17 February 2016(!) evening County Quiz. At either Tarvin or Frodsham. Anyone interested in joining our team? Contact Caroline (852406) or any committee member if so!

Fri 4 March 7 for 7.30pm, tbc Heads up!!! ABCA "Mystery on the Titanic" Come with your friends for a 3 course meal spiced with a dastardly plot to solve! Prizes for the winning detective table. Dress the part optional! Bar. Ticket reservations (£25 per person – tables of up to 8) to Caroline (852406). In aid of the Parish Rooms

Wed 18 May 7.00pm Keep the date! Spring WI Group Meeting. Usual evening format – speaker to be announced in the New Year.
